Suggester says, "The strong contrast make the figures of the upper side of the photograph look like statues or actors in a drama. Their silhouettes transform them from anonymous people at the sea into a metaphor of the humankind. In the lower part of the image people seem no more to be the actors but the spectators of nature: the sea. But those are just interpretations; this photograph is outstanding even without them!
